If you're a coupon clipper you know how much money can be saved using coupons. But have you ever sat with the Sunday paper only to find out that there really aren't any coupons for things you actually use? What if you could have MORE coupons? Coupons for things you do use on a regular basis? Here's a way to increase the number of overall coupons you have by trading the ones you don't use for ones you can use. Sort your coupons by food and nonfood products and bring them to the exchange. Bring those expired coupons too.
Clipping coupons is a great way to save money. Chances are you will not use all of the coupons that you clip. As coupons expire, you may be left with hundreds of clipped coupons. You can actually recycle those clipped coupons by sending them overseas to military families who are able to used expired coupons up to six months past their expiration date.
Manufacturer coupons. They can be up to 5 months expired. We are gathering coupons to send to our military families at overseas bases. They can use them up to 6 months past the expiration date. Our Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary in Utica has been supporting this project for more than 4 years now and the need has grown tremendously. You can send the coupons to DAVA UNIT 129, C/O Community Services Chairperson Charly Mathews, PO BOX 180946, Utica, MI 48318. If you would like to help with postage, send checks or Money orders to the same address, written to DAVA UNIT 129 and earmark the donation for our overseas coupon program.
